This painting has a very strong steampunk feel to it. Love the angelic lady in white. The world desperately needs flying trains.

Strasburg Clock
The Strasburg Clock, Strasburg France, in Strasburg's Notre Dame
Cathedral. The clock features moving elements enacting the procession
of the apostles, the four stages of life, an orrery model of the solar
system, the heathen deities that appear according to the days of the
week and the beautiful astronomical dial.

Steampunk Marilyn Monroe
I stumbled across this old picture of Marilyn Monroe the other day. I think it has a very steampunk feel to it. Fabulous hat! Wouldn't mind owning a bike like that either.

Letter: John Keats to Fanny Brawne
March 1820
Sweetest Fanny,
You fear, sometimes, I do not love you so much as you wish? My dear Girl I love you ever and ever and without reserve. The more I have known you the more have I lov'd. In every way - even my jealousies have been agonies of Love, in the hottest fit I ever had I would have died for you. I have vex'd you too much. But for Love! Can I help it? You are always new. The last of your kisses was ever the sweetest; the last smile the brightest; the last movement the gracefullest. When you pass'd my window at home yesterday, I was fill'd with as much admiration as if I had then seen you for the first time.
Your affectionate
J. Keats.

The Blue Lady with the Parasol
It is a bit steampunk and petticoat at the same time. I love the pearls, the hat and the parasol. The dark lipstick is just perfect and the dress has great detailing.

Gothic Burlesque Angel
I really like burlesque when done right. I find it incredibly sexy without being slutty. This is a great example of a classy burlesque lady.

Pink steampunk / Victorian shoes
I need these shoes yesterday. But I would get rid of the strap that goes across the laces.
Now I just need to find out where you can buy them.

Painting: Regency Goodbye
A great portrait of life in Regency England. I adore her hat and coat. There is an expression of sadness in her face. The gentleman is clearly a dandy. Perhaps his courtship is unwanted?

Painting: Snow in April
Oh Spring, where art thou?
We had snow today. I don't think I've ever experienced snow in April before. This long, endless winter saddens me. It has lost all its charm. I long to hear birdsong.

Royal Blue jacket 1895 - 1905
The outside of the coat is
decorated with black cotton passementerie braid at the front lapels,
around the collar edge, down center front, around the hem to the back.
Center back has a large motif as well as do the lower edges of sleeve
hems. There are two hand finished button holes 1 1/4" wide with a set of
four mother of pearl buttons that close the double breast.
This is a work of art! I would get it in red as well. Can't you just picture it in red?

My favourite steampunk bolero
I would LOVE to own this. If it wasn't so bloody expensive. A few hundred dollars on etsy. I think not.
Painting: dark brooding hero
The words dark, tall and handsome come to mind. Get me some of that! It reminds me of Dorian Grey or some tortured Byronic hero.

Crazy Baroque Shoes
I love historical shoes and many modern designers seem fascinated by it too, especially the baroque period. They each seem to have their own way of incorporating it into their designs.
